Part-Time Lower School Art Teacher (K-4)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Prior experience as an art teacher is preferred
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan lessons on art and art history
  • Report on student progress using TBS art curriculum standards
  • Assist students in developing art techniques using a variety of mediums
  • Prepare and maintain materials necessary for lessons
  • Monitor inventory of art supplies
  • Attend required meetings (faculty, division, department)
Middle School English Teacher
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required
  • Master's degree and/or teaching license is preferred
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Requires the teaching of Middle School English
  • As part of our school's mission to develop the whole child, this position also involves serving as an advisor to a small group of students in order to develop social-emotional and executive functioning skills
  • Other duties include traveling with a student group during a fall class trip, planning a week of experiential learning for a small group in May and helping facilitate community within the school
Salary range is $38,000 – $41,000
 
Middle & Upper School Mathematics Teacher
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required
  • Master's degree and/or teaching license is preferred
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Requires the teaching of Middle School core courses and more advanced math in the Upper School
  • As part of our school's mission to develop the whole child, this position also involves serving as an advisor to a small group of students in order to develop social-emotional skills
  • Other duties include traveling with a student group during a fall class trip, planning a week of experiential learning for a small group in May, sponsoring student clubs and helping facilitate community within the school
Salary range is $39,500 – $42,500
 
Substitute Teacher
Qualifications
• Prior experience as a teacher or substitute teacher preferred
• Completion of Effective Teacher Training (at a community college) preferred
• Familiarity with Google tools (Drive, Docs, Slides) preferred 
 
Duties and Responsibilities
• Adhere to the regular school day schedule (7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.)
• Follow regular teacher’s lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency with regular routines and instruction
• Manage student behavior to optimize the learning environment
• Maintain a positive learning environment
• Carry out additional duties, such as lunch supervision or dismissal supervision, as detailed in lessons plans
