Current Open Positions:
Preschool Teaching Assistant
• Minimum of high school diploma
• College coursework preferred
• At least six (6) months of experience working with young children
• Basic understanding of Google tools (Gmail, Docs, Slides)
Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist teacher in carrying out daily routines and lessons
• Conduct small group instruction consistent with school instructional standards
• Guide students with setting up lunch and rest mats
• Manage student behavior to optimize the learning environment
• Maintain a positive learning environment
• Work with staff and students within a team environment
• Attend required events outside of normal school hours
Extended Day Group Leader
• Prior experience in after school program planning preferred
• At least six (6) months experience working with school-aged children in a group setting
Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure a safe physical and emotional environment for all students
• Plan and implement age-appropriate after school activities
• Design activities that provide a variety of educational, enrichment, and recreational activities
• Communicate effectively and professionally with parents and the Extended Day Director regarding program activities
• Maintain daily attendance records for students
• Ensure adherence to COVID safety precautions and procedures
Substitute Teacher
• Prior experience as a teacher or substitute teacher preferred
• Completion of Effective Teacher Training (at a community college) preferred
• Familiarity with Google tools (Drive, Docs, Slides) preferred 
Duties and Responsibilities
• Adhere to the regular school day schedule (7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.)
• Follow regular teacher’s lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency with regular routines and instruction
• Manage student behavior to optimize the learning environment
• Maintain a positive learning environment
• Carry out additional duties, such as lunch supervision or dismissal supervision, as detailed in lessons plans
Middle School Boys Soccer Coach
Middle School Girls Volleyball Coach
The Burlington School currently has open positions for head Middle School boys soccer coach and head Middle School girls volleyball coach. Experience playing or coaching the sport is recommended. The candidate must have availability from approximately 3:15-6 p.m. on weekdays beginning August 10 and concluding October 15. Practices and home games will take place at TBS.
