Burlington, NC - The Burlington School is proud to welcome Charmin Lee as the new Director of Admissions. She will begin July 2, 2018.
Mrs. Lee is a distinguished and skilled higher education professional with diverse experiences in resource development, enrollment management, counseling, team building, operations management and strategic planning.
In appointing Mrs. Lee as the new Director of Admissions, Head of School Ronnie Wall stated, “The Burlington School is very excited to welcome Charmin into our family. Her experience in admissions and working hand in hand with students is something we were looking for in our next Director of Admissions. Her enthusiastic personality and love for students is seen in her work, and we are anxious for her to get started.”
As a 1993 graduate of Elon College, Mrs. Lee worked as a member of the Admissions Office at Elon for ten years. During this time, she was able to witness the transformation from Elon College to Elon University. Her interaction with the students, families and guidance counselors in Alamance County proves to be a highlight in her Admissions career, and now she is excited to bring her knowledge and passion for students to The Burlington School. Charmin stated, “TBS is a community to which I want to share my gifts and knowledge. The Burlington School’s values, morals and integrity represent a culture that I am thrilled to be a part of and foster within our community.”
In 2003, Mrs. Lee ventured from Elon University to Wingate University as the Director of Student Recruitment. A critical member of the Wingate University Admissions Office for six years, Charmin continued to cultivate her relationships and to network with colleges and universities throughout the country.
In 2009, Charmin began fundraising for Wingate University and joined the Resource Development office. This allowed her to gain experience as Director of the Annual Fund, working with prospective donors and friends of the University. She has also served as the Director of the Wingate Society and Parents Association.
Mrs. Lee joins the TBS community with her husband, William, and daughters, Keegan-13 (rising 8th grader) and Kohen- 9 (rising 5th grader).
